This 3-night, 4-day tour explores some of the best places in the Guatemalan highlands. You'll visit the street markets of Chichicastenango and Sololá, the villages of Lake Atitlán (including both Panajachel and Santiago Atitlán), and the historic sites of Antigua.

This tour begins with a Thursday morning departure for Chichicastenango, where you will visit the town's colorful street market and the Santo Tomás church. You will have the afternoon free to go shopping and get to know the town a little better.
After breakfast on Friday, you will head to Sololá, where you will visit a Mayan market. In the afternoon you will head to Lake Atitlán and spend the night in Panajachel (accommodations not included).
At 9:00 AM on Saturday, you will board a speed boat and ride to the town of Santiago Atitlán. Once here, you will have a chance to walk around and see many living Maya traditions. In the afternoon you will head to Antigua and spend the night (accommodation not included).
On Sunday you will visit some of the most important sites in Antigua: churches, convents, monasteries and other colonial places. After lunch you will head back to Guatemala city.

The Chichicastenango market is one of the most colorful and exciting markets in Guatemala. It’s open on Sundays and Thursdays and is an interesting cultural experience for travelers.

Lake Atitlán is heralded as one of the most mystical and memorable lakes on the planet. It is also the deepest lake in Central America. You can get experience the lake by kayaking or swimming at the beaches on the lakeshore. See the lake from above by hiking the San Pedro Volcano or by reaching the summit known locally as Indian’s Nose.
