The hike begins at one of the most beautiful places in Guatemala and ends at one of the most relaxing places: the Fuentes Georginas hot springs. You'll travel through the Guatemalan Highlands on this tour.

This hiking route is old and historical. The trail has been used for decades and is still in use today. On Sundays, you can see people walking from villages to the market of Cantel in Quetzaltenango.

Safety is prioritized on this tour. If anyone wants to end the hike early, there are evacuation routes that can be used.

Atitlán Nature Reserve

The Atitlán Nature Reserve is located along the shores of Lake Atitlán outside the town of Panajachel. This private reserve offers all kinds of fun activities, including hiking, zip lining, swimming, and more.

Iximche

The Mayan site of Iximché was originally used as a Kaqchikel capital during the fifteenth century. It’s notable for its strong Mexican influences, which differentiate it from other Mayan sites in the area.

Mixco Viejo

Mixco Viejo was originally the capital of the Poqomam Maya, one of Guatemala’s main tribes prior to the arrival of the Spanish. A French team beautifully restored the site in the 1950s and ’60s, and it’s still an interesting place to visit. The setting is also spectacular.

Tajumulco Volcano

At 13,845 feet (4,220 meters), the Tajumulco Volcano is the highest point in Central America. The volcano is located in Guatemala’s Western Highlands and can be hiked in about five hours.
