This tour explores Guatemalan culture in depth. Moving from village to village, you'll encounter various aspects of Guatemalan culture, including the traditions of indigenous Mayans.
This tour leaves from Huehuetenango and heads to the department of Quiche, where you'll tour a local village. The tour then continues on to Sacapulas to visit the market and observe the production of Sal Negra (black salt). Next, you'll tour the ceremonial points in the village of Nebaj. You'll spend the night at Villa Nebaj.
On the second day, the first destination is the town of Chajul, which has deep Mayan roots. In Chajul you'll visit the homes of local women artisans and talk with Mayan families. While here, you may also visit the church and museum.
The tour then travels to Cotzal, where you'll visit the historic center. In the afternoon we return to either Quetzaltenango, Lake Atitlán or Antigua, which is where the tour will end.
