This Nighttime Tarzan Tour offers an exhilarating exploration of the jungle at night. Ixpanpajul Natural Park is just outside of Flores and Santa Elena. It covers 3.5 square miles (9 square km) of thick, subtropical rainforest.

On a nighttime tour of the canopy you’ll get to see a whole other side of the jungle. The rainforest is full of animals that you don’t get to see in the daytime. Keep an eye out for birds, monkeys, foxes, and feral pigs. Visitors may even catch a glimpse of a leopard.
Your Tarzan Tour takes place on a series of eight different zip line cables. Instructors will make sure you feel comfortable with the equipment before you begin.

The Mayan site of Aguateca is situated along the shores of the Petexbatún Lagoon in the department of Petén. The site dates back to the Late Preclassic period and was hastily abandoned around AD 810.

Set within the northern reaches of Guatemala’s Petén department is the incredible Mayan site of Tikal. With its massive Mayan temples, steep limestone pyramids and thick green jungles, Tikal is undoubtedly one of the top attractions in Guatemala. The ruins and surrounding forest are located within the Tikal National Park.

The Yaxhá-Nakum-Naranjo Natural Monument includes the Mayan sites of Yaxhá, Nakum, Topoxté, and El Naranjo. The largest site is Yaxhá, which sits between two lovely lakes. Yaxhá gained widespread fame in 2005 when Survivor Guatemala was filmed here.

Similar things to do
Take this tour to see Tikal at one of the busiest times of day — early in the morning. You’ll leave for your tour before the sun comes up, and then watch the jungle wake up from the top of one of the site’s temples. Bring a flashlight so you can see the nocturnal animals when you first arrive in the jungle. This time of day comes with another advantage, as the site has fewer visitors at this time of day.
