This tour offers travelers a unique experience in the Guatemalan countryside. You'll visit towns and places that most travelers have never heard of.

Day 1: The first day starts at 9:00 AM in Todos Santos. After meeting the guides, you'll continue on to San Nicolás, a small village in the Cuchumatanes Mountains. You'll hike in the direction of Pericon, which is about 2-hours away on foot.

Around lunch you'll make a short stop at the beautiful Aguacatan River. After another four-hour walk, you'll visit the village of Chortiz, where you can have something to eat and drink. The hike will then continue on to the place where you will stay for the night, a very small village in the Cuchumatanes Mountains. You have dinner and sleep in the local community here.

Day 2: On the second day, the hike starts at about 8:30 AM and heads in the direction of Chutuj, a village with only fifteen inhabitants. After passing this village, there will be approximately 2.5 hours of downhill walking until we arrive in the village of Xexecom, where you'll have lunch. During the walk, you'll visit a cave called God of Luck, which hid refugees during the Guatemalan civil war.

Later you'll visit a war cemetery. This cemetery is in memory of people who were killed and slaughtered on April 22, 1981. You'll continue on and reach the village of Acul around 4:00 PM. You'll spend the night at Finca Mil Amores.

Day 3: On the third and last day, the hike leaves at 7.30 AM. The hike will head in the direction of a cheese factory and farm. The hike will then continue through the mountains and will pass a ceremonial place called God’s Children.

Other ceremonial sites will be passed as you descend the mountain after lunch, including God of The Money, God of The Rain, God of The Culture, and God of The Harvest. Finally, Nebaj will be reached at the end of the hike.

This hike is moderately difficulty. Tour participants must be able to walk for five to six hours a day.
