This Coyolate River rafting trip is a combination of white water rapids and sightseeing. It covers 13.6 miles (22 km) and lasts about five and a half hours, depending on the river conditions. It has Class II and III rapids, which are extremely fun but possibly challenging.

The Coyolate River is located in Suchitepequez, which is about 45 min from Escuintla. Rafting season in this part of the country lasts from June to early October.

Your tour begins with breakfast at Restaurante La Cabaña de Don Emiliano. Then the group will change into bathing suits and learn how to use rafting equipment. The instructor will let you know what to do in case you fall out of the boat. After the safety talk, you'll don your gear and head to the put-in spot, which is just a short drive from the restaurant And then, the adventure begins!

What to Bring

Change of dry clothes, bathing suit, sunscreen, water shoes, bug spray, waterproof camera, and bottled water.
